Job summary

Dar is currently seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Modeler in Bengaluru to join our team. You will create, modify, and maintain mechanical BIM models using BIM software and CAD tools for building projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy, perform clash checks, maintain documentation, and support on-site construction activities. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• BIM certification or training is an asset.
• Minimum 3–12 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling, CAD drafting, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop, model, and produce accurate mechanical designs, layouts, and drawings using BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Create 3D models of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) aligning with project specs.
• Ensure drawings meet project requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Modify and update designs to meet client needs or changes in scope.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, and other design professionals for integration.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical feedback on mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure information exchange and model synchronization.
• Maintain documentation of CAD and BIM models, revisions, and equipment lists.
• Produce schedules, material take-offs, and reports based on BIM models.
• Assist in project presentations and stakeholder reports.

Job Summary:

Dar is currently seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining mechanical models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and CAD tools. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to ensure accuracy in the design, construction, and delivery of mechanical systems for various building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, model, and produce accurate and detailed mechanical system designs, layouts, and drawings using BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Create 3D models of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) that align with project specifications and standards.
• Ensure all drawings meet project requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Modify and update designs as necessary to meet client needs or changes in scope.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and other design professionals to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other building components.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical feedback on mechanical system designs.
• Coordinate with other BIM teams to ensure accurate information exchange and model synchronization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all CAD and BIM models, including revisions, material specifications, and equipment lists.
• Produce and maintain accurate schedules, material take-offs, and reports based on BIM models.
• Assist in the creation of project presentations and reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure all models are accurate and complete before submission to internal or external stakeholders.
• Perform regular checks and clash detection in the BIM models to ensure that designs are conflict-free.
• Maintain high standards for model quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Utilize and stay updated on the latest BIM and CAD software and technology.
• Train junior staff or other team members on best practices for BIM modeling and CAD operations.
• Provide on-site support during the construction phase by assisting with the implementation of mechanical system designs.
• Assist in the creation of as-built models and final documentation for project closeout.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects preferred.
• Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
• Familiarity with mechanical system design and related components (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
