This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Mechanical BIM Modeler. The Senior Mechanical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing mechanical BIM models, collaborating with design and construction teams, ensuring code compliance, and integrating mechanical systems within the overall building design. The role involves developing BIM execution plans, performing quality checks, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and manage HVAC BIM models in Revit as per project requirements.
- Interpret HVAC design drawings, schematics, and specifications to create accurate 3D models.
- Coordinate HVAC systems with other disciplines (Architecture, Structure, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting).
- Generate shop drawings, sections, schedules, and details from BIM models.
- Ensure models meet LOD (Level of Development) standards and client requirements.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries for HVAC works.
- Support engineers and project managers in design reviews, quantity take-offs, and documentation.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a BIM Modeler in HVAC discipline.
- Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit MEP (HVAC).
- Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
- Familiarity with international BIM standards (LOD, COBie, ISO 19650, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC design drawings, load calculations, and equipment layouts.
- Good understanding of MEP coordination workflows.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
