Job summary

Hettich in Mumbai seeks a Finance Billing professional to generate invoices against approved orders, ensure GST/H SN compliance and manage billing across dispatch, stock transfers, exports and inter-branch transactions.

The candidate should have commerce/finance education and 5+ years in invoicing, with ERP experience (SAP/Oracle). Proficiency in MS Excel and billing reports is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in sales billing, invoicing, or finance operations.
• Working knowledge of GST, HSN codes, e-invoicing and e-way bills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer invoices against approved sales orders, dispatch documents and delivery instructions.
• Verify product codes, quantities, prices, discounts, customer details, GSTIN, HSN codes and tax rates.
• Check pricing, credit terms and approved commercial conditions before invoicing.
• Bill for stock transfers, inter-branch transactions, exports and other business transactions.
• Create credit/debit notes and revised invoices per procedures.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics and Customer Service for order verification and billing.
• Ensure billing aligns with dispatch and delivery processes.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and billing queries with stakeholders.
• Process invoices timely to avoid dispatch delays and customer inconvenience.
• Reconcile billing with sales orders, dispatch details and reports.
• Prepare daily billing reports, pending statements and exception reports.
• Track pending/cancelled invoices and billing discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities with timely billing.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of product codes, quantities, prices, discounts, customer details, GSTIN, HSN codes, and applicable tax rates.
• Verify pricing, credit terms, and approved commercial conditions before invoice generation.
• Ensure timely billing for stock transfers, inter-branch transactions, exports, and other applicable business transactions.
• Generate credit notes, debit notes, and revised invoices as per approved procedures.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Service teams for order verification, dispatch documentation, and billing requirements.
• Ensure billing is completed in accordance with approved dispatch and delivery processes.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing mismatches, and customer billing queries in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices to avoid dispatch delays and customer inconvenience.
• Reconcile billing records with sales orders, dispatch details, and applicable transaction reports.
• Prepare daily billing reports, pending billing statements, and exception reports as required.
• Track and resolve pending invoices, cancelled invoices, and billing discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities by ensuring timely completion of billing transactions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 25 years of relevant experience in sales billing, invoicing, or finance operations, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG.
• Working knowledge of GST, HSN codes, e-invoicing, and e-way bills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent business applications.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and billing reports.
