Job summary

Varun Malhotra Designs in Gurugram is seeking a Billing Engineer to manage project billing and quantity verification for architectural and construction projects. You will prepare and update BOQs, validate quantities from drawings and site measurements, and ensure accurate invoicing.

You will work with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to certify contractor bills on time, monitor costs, maintain records, and support budget forecasts and variations reporting.

Qualifications

• BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying skills for accurate measurement and documentation of project work.
• Experience with Billing Systems and Rate Analysis to manage contractor bills, cost comparisons, and pricing structures.
• Strong Analytical Skills to review project data, identify discrepancies, and support cost control and budget tracking.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and billing-related software; familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in architectural, interior, or construction projects will be an added advantage.

Role Description

The Billing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for managing project billing and quantity verification for architectural and construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQ), validating quantities from drawings and site measurements, and performing rate analysis in line with project specifications and contracts. The role involves working closely with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing, timely certification of contractor bills, and compliance with contractual terms. The Billing Engineer will also assist in cost monitoring, maintaining billing records and documentation, and supporting budget forecasts and variations reporting.
