Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a Batch Operations Scheduler Engineer to join our team in Chennai or Bangalore. You will manage batch scheduling systems and drive reliability of critical batch workflows, coordinating across environments to ensure smooth operations.

You will monitor batch jobs to target 99.5% success, deploy changes, and implement automation improvements while tackling failures, dependencies, and related infrastructure tasks.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in batch scheduling/engineering.
• Experience with CAWLA, Control-M, or Autosys.
• Ability to monitor batch job success to high reliability.
• Experience deploying job changes and automation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage batch scheduling systems (CAWLA / Control-M / Autosys).
• Monitor and ensure batch job success (99.5%).
• Deploy job changes & automation improvements.
• Troubleshoot: failures, dependencies, agent management & patching, file transfer setup, keys/certificates, and performance tuning of batch flows.

Job Description:

• Manage batch scheduling systems (CAWLA / Control-M / Autosys)
• Monitor and ensure batch job success (99.5%)
• Deploy job changes & automation improvements

Troubleshoot:

• Job failures (abends)
• Dependency issues
• Perform agent management & patching
• Handle file transfer setup (SFG, mainframe migration)
• Manage keys/certificates (SSH/PGP)
• Perform performance tuning of batch flows
