The cafe offers a relaxed, nature-inspired environment where visitors can enjoy beverages and delicious food. Role Description

The Barista role at Nature’s Cafe is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The Barista will prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages, as well as assist with steward activities, only if required. Daily responsibilities include taking customer orders, handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked apart from preparing great coffee, using espesso machine and manual brews. The Barista has to have a sound understanding of coffee beans, espresso machines and have creative ideas. They must be a great team player and shall have the capacity to work under pressure. They will engage with guests in a courteous and professional manner, answer questions about menu items, and support team members during busy hours. This role requires consistent adherence to hygiene standards, cafe policies, and a commitment to delivering a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Practical Barista skills, including beverage preparation and operation of coffee equipment.
• Sound knowledge of coffee beans, espresso machines, manual brews.
• Ensuring hygeine and cleanliness of the barista counter
• Prior experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced work setting.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and POS systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours within the cafe’s operating schedule.
