Qualifications

• Graduate from an AICTE-affiliated/approved institute.
• Mandatory: Commvault Certified Professional (CCP).
• 8+ years of experience in backup engineering or IT infrastructure management.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Backup Engineer L3 – Commvault to manage enterprise backup infrastructure, database backup and recovery, replication, and disaster recovery environments. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Commvault, Linux, databases, and enterprise backup operations.

Location: Hyderabad / CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai

Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 Years in Commvault

Shift: 24×7 Rotational

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise Commvault backup infrastructure.
• Monitor backup operations, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage backup data replication between DC and DR environments and ensure synchronization.
• Install hotfixes, patches, updates, and backup agents on servers.
• Configure role‑based access controls for backup users.
• Support database backup and recovery activities for Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and other databases.
• Perform Oracle restore operations and troubleshoot database backup issues.
• Analyze database and Commvault logs and provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Install and configure backup agents on database servers and complete backup configuration.
• Design, implement, and manage Air-Gap backup solutions.
• Assist application teams with database‑side backup configurations.
• Conduct regular reviews of backup infrastructure and implement performance improvements.
• Prepare SOPs, operational documentation, and audit‑related reports.
• Participate in security audits and compliance reviews.
• Mentor L1 resources and provide technical guidance for day‑to‑day backup operations.
• Coordinate with OEM/Global Support teams for complex technical issues.

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Commvault Backup Software.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Commvault experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration.
• Experience with database backup and recovery, particularly Oracle.
• Knowledge of MS SQL, MySQL, and enterprise database environments.
• Experience in backup troubleshooting, log analysis, and RCA.
• Hands‑on experience with Air‑Gap backup solutions.
• Knowledge of DC‑DR replication and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations.
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Qualification & Certification

• Graduate from an AICTE‑affiliated/approved institute.
• Mandatory: Commvault Certified Professional (CCP).
