Qualifications

• Graduate from AICTE-affiliated/approved institute.
• Mandatory CCP certification (Commvault Certified Professional).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the enterprise Commvault Backup solution in a 24×7 environment.
• Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot backup failures in coordination with stakeholders.
• Configure backup policies and schedules as per requirements.
• Schedule and monitor backup jobs and perform restores per application owner requests.
• Manage storage allocation within the backup environment.
• Prepare backup reports and assist capacity planning.
• Coordinate with Commvault Global Support for issues and escalations.
• Maintain asset inventory and mapping.
• Perform basic administration on Windows and Linux servers.
• Support security patching and vulnerability closure on Windows and Linux servers.
• Maintain SOPs and documentation.
• Participate in audits and security reviews.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced System Admin – Commvault Backup L1 to manage and monitor enterprise backup environments in a 24×7 support model. The role involves backup monitoring, troubleshooting, scheduling, restoration, capacity management, and coordination with application and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the enterprise Commvault Backup solution in a 24×7 environment.
• Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot backup failures in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Configure backup policies and schedules as per organizational requirements.
• Schedule and monitor backup jobs and perform restores based on application owner requests.
• Manage storage allocation and release within the backup environment.
• Prepare backup reports and support capacity planning activities.
• Support Integrated Business Continuity Exercises (IBCE).
• Coordinate with Commvault Global Support for technical issues and escalations.
• Maintain asset inventory and application-to-server mapping.
• Perform basic administration activities on Windows and Linux servers.
• Support security patching, upgrades, and vulnerability closure on Windows and Linux servers.
• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and reports.
• Participate in audits and security review activities.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Commvault Backup Software.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
• Experience in backup monitoring, scheduling, restoration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of backup policies, storage management, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of security patching and vulnerability management.
• Good troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24×7 support environment.

Qualification & Certification
