Job summary

Axelor is hiring Java backend developers to join our in-office team in Surat. We seek engineers who write clean, modular code for scalable ERP and BPM solutions on a modern open-source stack.

You will develop backend modules with Java/Spring Boot, work with relational databases, and collaborate in a Linux-based environment. Entry-level to mid-level candidates with 1–5 years’ experience are welcome to apply for this on-site role in Surat.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and backend frameworks (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate).
• Experience with relational databases and Gradle build tool.
• Familiar with GitHub, Linux, and modern workflows.
• Clear, maintainable, performant code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend modules using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases.
• Handle XML configurations and enterprise integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend modules using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate
• Work with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases
• Handle XML-based configurations and enterprise integrations
• Collaborate using Git, Eclipse/IntelliJ, and Linux-based environments
• Contribute to the evolution of our open-source ERP and BPM platform
• (Bonus) Apply your ERP/BPM experience — preferred, but not mandatory

What We’re Looking For

• 1 to 5 years of experience in backend development
• Strong grasp of Java and backend frameworks (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate)
• Experience with relational databases and build tools like Gradle
• Familiarity with GitHub, Linux, and modern development workflows
• Clear, structured coding style with attention to performance and maintainability
• Prior ERP/BPM platform experience is a plus — not a dealbreaker
