Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and relational databases to deliver high-performance enterprise applications and secure APIs.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, optimizing performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java backend development.
• Strong Core Java (Java 8+) expertise.
• Hands-on Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA.
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA for ORM and database interaction.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is desirable.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven, Gradle, and build automation tools.
• Good understanding of Multi-threading, Collections, Design Patterns, and JVM concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Preferred Skills: Docker and Kubernetes; Exposure to AWS/Azure; Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of security best practices and application monitoring tools.
