Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring an Azure Linux Admin for Hyderabad with 8-12 years of experience. You will manage Linux servers, perform OS patching, LVM, and hardening, and support 24x7 operations in a hybrid cloud environment.

The role emphasizes cloud infra monitoring, VM administration, and integration with public cloud services, along with scripting to automate routine tasks and ensure security compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, upgrading and configuring Red Hat Linux 6.x and 7.x on physical and virtual servers.
• Proficient in Linux server patching, LVM, SAMBA, NFS, NTP, and server hardening.
• Ability to handle L2/L3 Linux issues and 24x7 support.
• Experience with shell scripting to automate tasks.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure monitoring and VM administration.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle the L2 and L3 issues on Linux servers
• Experience in Installing, upgrading and configuring Red Hat Linux 6.x and 7.x version on Physical and Virtual servers
• Knowledge on shell scripts to automate regular tasks.
• Should have knowledge to Configuring and administering like LVM, Samba, NFS, NTP, Centrify and Proxy
• Should adhere to the SLA and Work on Incident and Change Management
• Cloud infrastructure and network monitoring
• Cloud service, incident, problem, SLA management
• Supporting existing and new application infrastructure in Public cloud
• Support activities needed to implement and maintain security policy & regulator guidelines ( Server hardening)
• New VM creation, application setup and security compliance
• Application & DB backup, restoration & restoration drills
• Cloud asset, resource management
• Cloud DR setup & drills
• Third-party softwares and tools management.
• Shell scripting -> bash/ Ansible scripting
