Job Description:
We are seeking a resource to join our Infra team with aspirations to grow in IT, having strong knowledge of Windows OS and Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud. As an L2 engineer, you will be responsible for Incident Management, Availability Management, Change Management, Request Management, Access Management and Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
- 2. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Windows systems promptly. This includes diagnosing problems, applying patches, and configuring system components.
- 3. Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system health and performance using various tools, implementing preventive measures to ensure high availability and reliability.
- 4. Security: Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption, to safeguard systems and data.
- 5. Backup and Recovery: Perform regular data backups and develop robust recovery strategies to protect against data loss.
- 6. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with system-related queries and issues.
- 7. Automation: Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- 8. Patch Management: Apply updates, security patches, and software upgrades to keep the systems up-to-date and secure.
- 9. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- 10. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, SAP Basis, and L3/L4 team to resolve complex technical problems.
- 11. Ready to work 24/7 with rotational shift.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1. Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- 2. Strong knowledge about File System Management, Logical Volume Manager, iSCSI ,NFS,NAS, Clustered File system, RAID, Multipath.
- 3. Certification equivalent to MCSE, MCSA is recommended.
- 4. Must have knowledge and experience in cluster setup and troubleshooting.
- 5. Microsoft Azure Certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) showcasing expertise in Azure cloud services and management.
- 6. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
- 7. Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and services.
- 8. Experience in security practices and implementing best practices to secure systems.
- 9. Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation and task simplification.
- 10. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- 11. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and end‑user Support.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 1. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- 2. Familiarity with cloud platforms other than Azure, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- 3. Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- 4. Understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies.
- 5. Database administration experience (e.g., SQL Server).
