Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Azure Linux Tower Lead to join the TCS Cloud unit in Bengaluru/Chennai. The role demands 8+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix administration across RedHat, Ubuntu and Solaris, with strong cloud platform exposure.

You will own multi-cloud operations (Azure, AWS, GCP), configuration automation with Ansible and Puppet, patch and vulnerability management, storage and backup administration, and performance monitoring to ensure resilient, scalable systems for

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Linux/Unix administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Experience with Ansible and Puppet configuration management.
• Experience with Solaris, Red Hat Linux and Ubuntu distributions.
• Patch and vulnerability management for Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux and Unix operating environments.
• Install, configure and manage Solaris/Linux platforms.
• Troubleshoot boot and system issues.
• Manage Veritas Volume Manager and Solaris Volume Manager.
• Patch and vulnerability management for Linux/Unix.
• Manage cloud resources in Azure, GCP and AWS.
• Configure NSG, load balancers, health probes and backend pools.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application issues.
• Handle disk management and resizing of servers.
• Coordinate backup and recovery processes.

• Administration of Linux (RedHat 8.x/9.x / Ubuntu 20.04/22.04), Solaris (Solaris 11), Azure, AWS, GCP, Ansible and RedHat Satellite
• Installing and configuring Solaris/Linux Operating Environment
• Troubleshooting the boot related problems
• VERITAS volume manager
• Solaris volume manager
• Patch and Vulnerability Management for Linux and Unix
• Restoring corrupted file system
• Troubleshooting the applications related issues
• Monitoring and analyzing the system performance
• Managing the Storage Volumes
• Troubleshooting hardware related issue
• Troubleshooting backup related issue
• Administration of Azure, GCP, AWS, Puppet and Ansible
• Managing Servers which are hosted in Azure and GCP Infra
• NSG - Network security groups
• LB Creation, Creating Health probes, Adding the servers to Backend pool
