Job summary

Iris Software Inc. in India is seeking an experienced Lead AWS Administrator to oversee, secure, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on driving cloud strategy, automation, and ensuring high availability for enterprise applications.

You will lead implementations using Terraform/Ansible, manage secure networks, and supervise CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes. A strong background in DevOps, Linux, and MySQL is required for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in DevOps/Cloud Administration
• Expert proficiency in AWS (must-have) and experience with additional cloud platforms
• Strong command of IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration

Responsibilities

• Lead design and lifecycle management of scalable AWS environments using Terraform/Ansible
• Architect secure networking, VPCs, and multi-region connectivity for hybrid/multi-cloud setups
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration with Kubernetes and ArgoCD
• Enforce DevSecOps practices and cost-optimization initiatives
• Provide technical mentorship and drive PoCs for new cloud technologies
• Monitor and optimize performance with Prometheus/Grafana and ELK stack

Job Description

Role Summary: Seeking an experienced Lead AWS Administrator to oversee, secure, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. This role will lead cloud strategy, implement robust automation, and ensure high availability, connectivity, and cost-efficiency for our enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of scalable AWS environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Ansible).
• Cloud Networking: Architect and manage secure, high-performance network topologies, including VPC design, subnetting, Transit Gateways, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Direct Connect to ensure seamless hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
• Cloud Operations: Architect and maintain resilient CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes), and multi-region traffic distribution (Load Balancing/Route 53).
• Security & Compliance: Enforce DevSecOps principles, including IAM governance, Network ACLs, Security Groups, vulnerability scanning, and hardened configuration baselines to ensure a zero-trust posture.
• Observability & Performance: Drive proactive monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK), optimize resource utilization, and perform cost-management initiatives.
• Leadership: Provide technical mentorship, manage cross-functional collaboration, and conduct Proof of Concepts for emerging cloud technologies.

Required Expertise

• Cloud Platforms: Expert proficiency in AWS (must-have) and experience with GCP or OCI.
• Networking: Strong mastery of IP networking, DNS, routing protocols, and cloud-native security controls.
• Tooling: Strong command of Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and container security.
• Operations: Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and RDBMS (MySQL/RDS).
• Experience: 8-10+ years in DevOps/Cloud Administration
