Job summary

Iris Software is seeking a highly skilled Python Backend Developer with strong AWS cloud experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Python, proficiency in FastAPI/ Flask / Django, REST APIs, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases to deliver robust, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Python backend experience.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency with Python frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, Django (preferred).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA and DevOps.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support maintenance.
• Contribute to automation initiatives in the CI/CD stack.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Backend Developer with strong experience in AWS cloud technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Python development, cloud-native architecture, microservices, and AWS services, with a strong focus on delivering robust and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support application maintenance activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation initiatives.
