Job summary

Sigma Allied Services in Bengaluru seeks a Cloud Operations professional to lead incident response, manage AWS infrastructure, and strengthen security and compliance.

You will monitor CloudWatch, perform RCA, implement preventive measures, optimize costs, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

This role emphasizes reliability, SLAs/SLOs, and ongoing improvement across compute, networking, storage, and IAM. Experience with automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Monitor AWS infrastructure using Amazon CloudWatch and resolve or elevate alerts.
• Implement preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.
• Maintain SLAs/SLOs and track infrastructure availability and uptime metrics.
• Prepare incident reports, post-mortems, and operational updates.
• Design, deploy, maintain, and support AWS infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and database services.
• Perform operating system upgrades, security patches, and production system maintenance.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and ensure high availability.
• Identify and implement AWS cost optimization opportunities, including resource rightsizing and savings initiatives.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using Qualys, CrowdStrike, or similar security tools.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and track findings through closure.
• Maintain IAM policies, access controls, and security configurations.
• Support compliance audits and strengthen the overall cloud security posture.
• Communicate technical issues and business impact clearly to stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on incidents, service availability, and operational performance.
• Prepare cost analysis reports and track cloud savings.
• Recommend improvements to cloud operations, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Management & Cloud Operations
