Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an AWS Infrastructure Architect (Presales) in PAN India. The role requires 8+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in AWS and focuses on designing scalable cloud architectures and crafting compelling customer proposals.

You will map TCS AWS offerings to client needs, lead solution discussions with CoEs and architects, and develop comprehensive proposals covering scope, governance, effort, and cost. Strong AWS knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in AWS.
• Experience in AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account landing zones, VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, IAM, security, governance, and account management.
• Strong knowledge of EC2, S3, EBS, networking, AWS Backup, disaster recovery, observability, and highly available multi-region architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop solution proposals covering scope, architecture, governance, effort estimation, and cost considerations.
• Map TCS AWS offerings to customer requirements and collaborate with CoEs and solution architects.
• Attend proposal discussions and status meetings, providing regular updates on solution progress.
• Engage with the TCS AWS CoE to stay current with AWS services, offerings, and best practices.

Role Summary

AWS Infrastructure Architect:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 2+ years in AWS.
• Expertise in AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account landing zones, VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, IAM, security, governance, and account management.
• Strong knowledge of Amazon EC2, S3, EBS, networking, AWS Backup, disaster recovery, observability, and highly available multi-Region architectures.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform; CI/CD; cost optimization; migration planning; and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

AWS Application Modernization:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 2+ years in AWS.
• .NET or Java backend design and development experience as the primary application skill.
• Expertise in application assessment and modernization patterns including replatform, refactor, rearchitect, containerization, serverless, and cloud‑native transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon SQS/SNS, Amazon RDS, and Amazon Aurora.
• Proficiency in microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, observability, resilience, performance engineering, and secure application architecture.
• Analyze proactive proposal and RFP requirements to understand customer needs and business objectives.
• Map TCS AWS offerings and capabilities to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including CoEs and solution architects from other technology domains, as required.
• Develop comprehensive solution proposals covering scope, architecture, governance, effort estimation, and cost considerations.
• Participate in periodic reviews with Solution Leads and other stakeholders to ensure proposal quality and alignment.
• Attend proposal discussions and status meetings, providing regular updates on solution progress.
• Engage with the TCS AWS CoE to stay current with AWS services, offerings, architectural guidance, and best practices.
