Optimum Solutions in Chennai is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automated test suites using Selenium, API testing tools, and Cucumber. The role emphasizes BFSI domain familiarity and strong Java, CI/CD, and GitLab skills.

You will collaborate with QA, developers, and project teams in an agile setting, contribute to test automation strategy, and mentor peers. Bachelor's in IT/CS and 7+ years of QA/automation in BFSI required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT software Selenium QA/testing experience.
• 5+ years of API test automation.
• Minimum 5 years of BFSI domain experience; lending exposure a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Java.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Perform test automation utilizing testing tools such Selenium, APIs Testing Tools, Cucumber
• Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
• Also ready to work on Manual test execution (if needed) by creating and maintaining test sets
• Experience in CI/CD is required to create and execute Jobs in Gitlab
• Provide technical assistance to other Automation Engineers regarding the enterprise Automation Framework
• Determine automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases

Contributing Responsibilities

• Experience in using Java and Automation Scripting with Web, API tools (Selenium,Appium, Cucumber)
• Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus experience is a must
• JIRA-XRay is a mandatory skill
• Excellent communications skills with strong analytical and problem solving skills required.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Thorough knowledge on all the key testing areas like functional testing, especially functional test automation and with clear experience in implementing test automation scripts within a test automation framework.

Specific Qualifications:

• At least 7+ years IT Software Selenium QA/Testing experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in API test automation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BFSI domain, experience in Personal finance / Lending would be an added advantage
• Hands on experience with Java
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
