Job summary

Photon is looking for an Automation Tester with 3–6 years of exclusive automation testing experience. You will work with Java/JavaScript, and Selenium UI automation to enhance software quality and enable rapid delivery cycles.

Experience in mobile app automation and API automation (Rest Assured/HttpClient) is a plus. Collaboration across teams and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 to 6 years of automation testing experience.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
• Mobile app automation experience is a plus.
• API automation experience with Rest Assured or Apache HttpClient is a plus.
• Experience with API, microservices and Postman collections.
• Strong team collaboration and eagerness to learn.
• Familiar with automation frameworks and regression testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Utilize automation test frameworks and standard tools to improve software quality and support rapid delivery cycles.
• Report regression bugs found by automation, track in JIRA.
• Contribute quickly by understanding context and joining the team within 2 weeks.
• Collaborate with QA, development and monitoring teams.

1. Must-have 3 to 6 years of exclusive experience in Automation Testing
2. Must-have experience in any Programming languages (Java, Java Script…)
3. Having experience inMobile Appautomation is a plus
4. Having experience in API automation using rest assured/ Apache HttpClient is a plus
5. Having worked thoroughly in API, Micro services and Postman Collections
6. Having good attitude with lot of willingness to learn and work with the team together
7. Utilize automation test frameworks and standard tools such as code quality scanning and regression testing, to improve the quality of software deliverables and support the rapid delivery cycles
8. Reporting regression bugs found by automation run, tracking using JIRA.
9. Being very smart to catch up quickly the context and start contributing to the team
10. Candidate shall be able to join within 2 weeks of time

Technical Competencies

1. Strong Knowledge of one or more scripting/ programming languages e.g. JS, JAVA, C# etc.
2. Working knowledge of Selenium UI automation, design patterns
