Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is hiring an Automation Tester in Bengaluru. We seek a skilled QA Engineer with 2-5 years of software testing experience, strong hands-on expertise in Manual Testing, API Testing and SQL, and exposure to automation tools.

You will design and execute test cases for web-based applications, automate test scripts using Selenium with Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright, and collaborate in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software testing experience.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience in Functional, SIT, Regression, and UAT Testing.
• Good knowledge of Selenium Java, TestNG, Cucumber, and Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and execute test cases and test scenarios for web-based applications.
• Perform Functional, SIT, Regression, and UAT Testing to ensure product quality.
• Validate APIs using testing tools and perform backend validation through SQL queries.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java, TestNG, Cucumber, and Playwright.
• Collaborate with BA, Developers, and Product Owners in an Agile environment.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, test planning, and release activities.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for defect tracking, documentation, and test management.

Job Description

Required Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and SQL.

• Good knowledge of Selenium Java, TestNG, Cucumber, and Playwright.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to automation framework development.
• Experience working in Banking, Capital Markets, or Financial Services domains.
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern QA practices.
