Job summary

GatiLek Mumbai is seeking Automation Technical Experts to lead site-level execution of our high-end control solutions. You will bridge engineering designs and client realities on site.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal), VFD parameterisation and HMI configuration, with a focus on zero downtime and strict adherence to GatiLek standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in site commissioning and industrial automation projects.
• Hands-on PLC programming with Siemens TIA Portal; VFD parameterisation and HMI configuration.

Responsibilities

• PLC Programming: take ownership of PLC logic development (Siemens TIA Portal) and hardware configuration.
• On-site troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve complex issues to ensure zero downtime for clients.
• Documentation: maintain accurate as-built drawings and I/O lists, update DPRs for GatiLek HQ.
• Engineering standards adherence: follow GatiLek standards from code structure to safety testing.
• Collaboration: work with Visualisation team for HMI mapping and Coding team for DB/ERP integrations.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in site commissioning and industrial automation projects.

Technical Core

• Hands-on experience in PLC Programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred), VFD Parameterisation, and HMI configuration. (Siemens Preferable)

Key Responsibilities

• PLC Programming Expertise: Taking full ownership of PLC logic development (primarily Siemens TIA Portal), including hardware configuration, block programming, and system optimization for high-end control panels.
• Troubleshooting Support: Acting as the lead technical problem-solver on-site; diagnosing and resolving complex logic bugs, hardware failures, or communication errors to ensure zero downtime for the client.
• Documentation (Internal External): Ensuring 100% accuracy in technical records including As-Built drawings and I/O lists for the client, and detailed Daily Progress Reports (DPR) via the HRMS for GatiLek HQ
• Technical Process Adherence: Strictly following the GatiLek Engineering Standards from the initial code structure to the final safety testing protocols ensuring every project maintains our signature quality.
• Strategic Collaboration: Working in a Unified Engineering environment; collaborating with the Visualisation team for seamless HMI mapping and the Coding team (VB/Java) for successful database and ERP integrations.
