Job summary

Pi Square Technologies is seeking an experienced Automation & Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and commission industrial automation solutions for large-scale manufacturing environments in India.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experience in PLC programming, SCADA/MES integration, OPC UA, and industrial networks, and will lead FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and safety validations while collaborating with OEMs and process teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficient in PLC programming and SCADA/MES integration.
• Familiar with IEC 13849 and IEC 61508 Functional Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Mitsubishi GX Works.
• Review FDS, control philosophies, and automation architectures.
• Design and implement PLC-SCADA-MES integrations and data exchange interfaces.
• Develop OPC UA Information Models and NodeSets.
• Configure Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA networks.
• Execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ/OQ, and system validation activities.
• Support safety reviews, risk assessments, and safety PLC validation.
• Collaborate with OEMs, process engineering, MES/SCADA teams, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Mitsubishi GX Works.
• Review Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and automation architectures.
• Design and implement PLC-SCADA-MES integrations and data exchange interfaces.
• Develop and validate OPC UA Information Models and NodeSets.
• Configure industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA.
• Execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ/OQ, and system validation activities.
• Support machine safety reviews, risk assessments, and safety PLC validation.
• Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, process engineering, MES/SCADA teams, and manufacturing operations.
