Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Technical Sales Support- Applies/Equipment to support the Presales -Applied team. You will coordinate sales resources, assist in product selections and prepare technical data and proposals for tenders and enquiries.

You will handle quotations, order entries, and internal coordination to ensure timely project execution, with emphasis on professional communication with customers and cross-functional teams in an engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Sales engineers in selection and pricing of HVAC equipment.
• Preparation of quotations and technical submittals for tenders/enquiries.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

• Interact and resolve any technical clarification vis‑à‑vis quotes issued.
• Identify product selections on all Trane HVAC equipment.
• Respond professionally and prioritize requests by urgency.
• Problem solve over the telephone under pressure.
• Collaborate within Trane and with vendors for timely responses.
• Familiar with MS Office tools and Windows environment.

Job Purpose

• Responsible for all functions relating to supporting the Sales engineers in selection and pricing of chillers/AHUs/FCUs etc., Preparation of quotations and technical submittals of tenders/enquiries, order entries to factories and internal coordination with different functions for successful execution of projects.

Accountabilities: Essential functions and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned.

• Coordinates sales resources.
• Product selections & preparing proposals along with all technical data preparations.
• Active participation /interaction with customers and internal teams.
• Software requests for pricing
• Order entries and related coordination.
• Performa Invoices & Order Acknowledgement preparation and getting approvals for the same from legal and internal sales teams.
• technical submittal of ongoing and closed orders.
• Handing overs of projects to respective teams and full coordination for execution of same.
• Customer Account creations.
• Interact and resolve any technical clarification vis‑à‑vis quotes issued.
• You would be a team member with front line responsibility for identification of product selection on all Trane HVAC equipment.
• Required to respond professionally and courteously to all customer parts identification inquiries and have the ability to prioritize incoming requests by level of urgency.
• Required to problem solve, on the telephone, under pressure situations.
• Required to work effectively within Trane Company organizations, co-workers and with outside Vendor / Supplier organizations, to obtain product identification support necessary for providing timely responses to customers.
• Your work is performed in an engineering environment using computer tools and product knowledge.
• You should be Personal Computer literate within a Windows environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software desirable. MS Exchange is the communication tool used in the office environment.
