Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a Paint Shop Planning Engineer to manage material planning, shop inventory, and production scheduling for shifts in the automotive paint environment. The role requires hands-on ABB robot programming, SAP proficiency, and knowledge of PT/CED processes.

Ideal candidates hold a BE/BTech in Paint Technology or related fields with 3–7 years of manufacturing experience. Safety, quality assurance, and daily work management are essential components of the job.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Paint Technology, Chemical Engg or Mechanical Engg.
• 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in paint shop.
• Hands-on ABB robot programming experience.
• Knowledge of SAP and paint shop processes (PT/CED).
• Knowledge of safety aspects and QA testing methods.
• Familiarity with paint shop cleaning activities and daily work management.

Responsibilities

• Material Planning, Shop Inventory, Production Planning and Execution for the shift; Target Setting & Meeting the same.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers for efficient shift operations.
• Monitor and maintain paint shop system cleaning activities.
• Maintain shift control indices through daily work management.
• Drive productivity improvements via kaizens/KK themes.
• Lead initiatives to reduce FOS cost, hazardous waste, and fire load; promote sustainability (water consumption reduction).
