Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineer for Paint Quality to drive quality control, plan and execute paint shop activities, and coordinate with suppliers. The role focuses on maintaining product standards across shifts and supporting new model color launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Automobile or B.Tech degree required.
• Experience in manufacturing quality control, paint/ coatings advantageous.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in quality and process control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paint quality parameters and goals as per plan.
• Lead shift-based quality control and troubleshooting in Paint Process.
• Coordinate with paint material suppliers on quality issues and upgrades.
• Review daily quality data, rework, rejection, and customer complaints; drive action.
• Lead audits and implement continuous improvement in paint shop processes.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Ensure & sustain Paint Quality by proactive approach to control process to prevent any type of quality failure.
• Need to work in shifts and handle shift independently for Paint Process & Product Quality control , trouble shooting etc.
• Co-ordinate with paint material suppliers on quality issues , quality upgradation.
• Ensure product quality parameters , goals are achieved as per plan.
• Review , analysis & action planning of daily quality data , rework & rejection , internal & external customer complaints.
• Paint Quality planning & execution for new model , new color launches , new projects in paint shop.
• Field complaint analysis , action planning for paint shop related complaints.
• Interact with body shop and TCF shops , PVT for paint shop quality related co-ordinations.
• Facilitate Quality related internal/external audits.
• Increase morale of the team by giving them input of outgoing quality as it has a direct impact on product quality and the brand.
