Job summary

Godrej Industries Group is seeking a Design Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in process plant design. You will contribute to designing reactors, distillation columns, vacuum systems, and various package systems, while ensuring utility systems and safety standards are met.

You will coordinate with operation teams, procurement, and consultants to ensure on-time delivery and compliant design, supporting commissioning activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Designing process reactors, distillation columns, vacuum systems and package systems.
• Designing utilities like cooling towers, chillers, boilers and air compressors.
• Understanding of P&ID, Isometrics drawings, equipment assembly and GAD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operation teams for process data confirmation.
• Expedite procurement and coordinate with vendors/contractors for equipment.
• Review design, procurements, and GAD approvals as per plan.
• Prepare tender documents for equipment erection, piping, safety and structures.
• Assist in commissioning and safety in design of the plant.

Job description

Job Requirements

• Designing Process Reactors, Distillation Columns, Vacuum Systems, Various package systems, Tanks with agitators, piping, process compressors ,pumps of chemical plants is must
• Designing of utilities like Cooling tower, Chillers, Thermic fluid heaters, Boilers, Air Compressors, DM Plants, Blowers etc.
• Designing of ETP, RO, MEE, etc.
• Dealing with the Process/operation team for Process data confirmation
• Sourcing of new technology
• Sourcing of new equipment manufacturer, contractors etc.
• Possess sound understanding of P&ID, Isometric drawings, Equipment assembly and GAD
• Dealing with purchase team for Engineering and procurement of equipment’s
• Dealing with Detail engineering consultant for project design work
• Design review, procurement, GAD approval as per plan
• Preparation of TBA with recommendation for suitable technology/supplier
• Ensuring Quality check for incoming engineering materials
• Ensuring safety in design of the plant
• Co-ordination with TPI to ensure quality standards of equipment’s under manufacturing & maintaining documentations
• Exposure in site construction activity with safety aspects will be an added advantage
• ERP(SAP) system compliance
• Knowledge of ASME, EU, IS standards is must for designing
• Design of IBR items
• Legal compliance in design
• On time delivery of items by expediting
• Preparing & rephase tender document for equipment erection, piping erection, Safety , Structure, Tanks etc.
• Support in commissioning
