Job summary

ShaktiPunj Engineers is seeking a Diploma/Graduate Engineer with 10–20 years in mechanical design (industrial). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Windows 10 and MS Word is required. You will develop plant layouts, P&ID drawings and tender specifications for boilers, turbines, cooling towers and water systems.

Key tasks include post-award reviews, load data checks, site coordination and ensuring engineering deliverables align with project needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate engineer is required.
• 10–20 years of experience in mechanical design offices (industrial).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Windows 10 and MS Word.
• Experience with plant layouts, P&IDs and tender specifications.

Responsibilities

• Understand project equipment parameters: pressure, temperature, flow.
• Prepare plant layouts for buildings, equipment and utilities.
• Prepare HMBD and water balance diagrams and P&IDs for water, feed and steam systems.
• Prepare tender specs for boiler, turbine, cooling tower and water treatment systems.
• Review supplier quotations and note revisions for updates.
• Post-award: review P&IDs, equipment GA and approvals for procurement.
• Review equipment foundations per load data and GA from suppliers.
• Review supplier P&IDs for various systems.
• Prepare BOQ for balance of plant piping, valves, drains and instruments.
• Create plant layouts showing pipe racks for HP/LP lines.
• Site visits for progress inspection and coordination with plant officials.

Job description

Qualification: Diploma / Graduate Engineer.

Past Job profile: Must be working in Mechanical Design office (Industrial).

Experience: 10-20 years.

Software Knowledge: AutoCAD, Windows 10, MS Word.

Expected Salary: between 60K to 70K.

Job Requirement:

1. Understanding the Project Equipment parameter’s such as Pressure, temperature and Flow,
2. Preparation of plant layout w.r.t. placement of Buildings, Equipment and plant utility,
3. Preparation of HMBD (heat mass balance diagram), water balance diagram and P&IDs such as water, feed & steam system,
4. Preparation of tender specification for Boiler (WHRB/AFBC), Turbine (back-pressure/condensing), Cooling Tower (wet/dry), fuel handling system, water treatment system (DM/RO/Softener),
5. Review of the quotations received from suppliers and prepare observations/comment for revision/incorporation in the revised quotation,
6. POST-AWARD of Mechanical Equipment; review of the submitted P&ID’s, GA of the equipment and giving approval for further engineering and procurement,
7. Review of the equipment foundation as per LOAD data & GA submitted by the supplier,
8. Review of Supplier’s P&ID for various system,
9. Preparation of tender specification for balance of plant such as air compressor, water pumps (CW/ACW/Raw Water/Effluent water transfer/service water), Non-IBR (Low Pressure water piping layout) BOQ (pipes, valves, drains, instrument, vent etc with pipe size, thickness, schedule),
10. Preparation of plant layout showing pipe rack (steel) for accommodating various HP & LP (IBR & Non-IBR) pipe lines (water/air/service) from various equipment to Cooling Tower / Air compressors / Water pumps,
11. Periodic visits to project site for inspection of the work and co-ordination with plant officials for progress and civil work w.r.t. plant layout,
12. Co-ordination with suppliers for submission of load data, P&IDs and other GA for approval & revisions in-line with the system requirement,
13. Assistance to the plant officials during plant commissioning and co-ordinate with suppliers.
