Job summary

Pradeep Metals in Navi Mumbai seeks a dedicated supply chain professional to manage supplier delivery and material planning, ensuring timely materials for production and dispatch while expediting critical orders. The role also covers supplier onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing performance reviews, requiring close collaboration with PPC, Expeditor, Quality, Purchase, Stores, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and monitor vendor delivery schedules in line with production and dispatch requirements.
• Ensure timely communication of delivery schedules and changes to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier commitments and ensure adherence to committed delivery dates.
• Review daily/weekly supplier delivery status and identify potential delays or risks.
• Drive expediting of critical and overdue purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Coordinate with PPC/Planning, Expeditor, Quality, Purchase, Stores, and Production teams for alignment of material requirements.
• Monitor material shortages and develop recovery plans in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth and timely material flow from suppliers to production/dispatch.
• Review and escalated critical shortages and supplier delays to management with appropriate action plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on business requirements, technical capability, capacity, quality, delivery, and commercial considerations.
• Conduct and/or coordinate supplier capability assessments and supplier qualification activities.
• Support supplier onboarding, evaluation, approval, and periodic performance reviews.
