Job summary

Tekman India in Vadodara seeks a skilled supply chain professional to lead procurement, inventory, logistics, and costing across ISO/QMS-compliant processes. You will optimize vendor performance, manage ERP-enabled workflows, and drive continuous improvement.

You will mentor the team, align operations with production schedules, and ensure timely, cost-effective fulfillment of customer orders through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Role & responsibilities

1. Procurement Management

Ensure timely procurement of good-quality materials at best possible prices, using minimum resources

Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliability and cost efficiency

Evaluate supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as needed

Handle, monitor, and maintain relationships with international procurement strategic partners

Manage logistic arrangements, import clearances, and legal compliance related to international procurement

1. Store & Inventory Management

Ensure efficient, safe, and user-friendly store operations with minimum waste, no theft, and no loss/unaccounted material

Maintain optimal inventory levels aligned with the production schedule to avoid stock-outs or overstocking

Ensure real-time, accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and audits

1. Logistics & Distribution

Manage inward and outward logistics for cost-effectiveness and timely delivery

Optimize transportation costs and enhance coordination with vendors and customers

1. Costing Support

Provide accurate and timely data for costing by forecasting procurement timelines and giving reasonable estimates

Collaborate with Finance and Production for effective budgeting and planning

1. Compliance & Quality

Ensure department-level implementation of ISO & QMS standards

Establish SOPs and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards across all supply chain activities

1. Technology & Systems

Leverage ERP systems for real-time data visibility, seamless workflows, and enhanced operational efficiency

Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives within the department

1. MIS & Reporting

Maintain and manage accurate MIS (Management Information System) for all supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor performance

1. Team Development

Mentor, train, and develop supply chain team members to meet current operational needs and prepare for future growth

Build a performance-driven culture with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement

1. Project Planning & Execution

Participate in project planning to ensure timely execution of customer orders

Align supply chain capabilities with project timelines and customer expectations
