Job summary

A2z Filtration Specialities is seeking a procurement professional to strengthen supplier networks across all items. The role focuses on sourcing 2–3 suppliers per item, ensuring quality and cost efficiency, and on-time deliveries to minimize inventory.

You will develop vendors, manage relationships, evaluate quality, price and location, and participate in rate finalization and negotiations with the manager according to the Purchase manual.

Responsibilities

• Identify 2–3 suppliers for all items purchased by the company.
• Focus on supplier quality and cost to improve overall value.
• Reduce transaction costs in the procurement cycle.
• Ensure on-time delivery to minimize inventory levels.
• Identify and develop new suppliers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Select vendors based on quality, reliability, pricing and location.
• Finalize rates and negotiate with the Manager per policy.
• Follow the Registration and Re-evaluation steps in the Purchase manual.
• Improve supplier selection criteria and standardize products.
• Conduct regular visits and communications with suppliers.

Responsibility:

1. Primary goal to find at least 2 /3 suppliers for all items purchased by the company.

2. Vendor development

• Identification of New suppliers
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Select new vendors based on factors such as quality, reliability, pricing and location.
• Strong understanding of rate finalization, supplier selection, vendor negotiation and vendor selection processes.
• Registration process as per Purchase manual.
• Re-evaluation as per Purchase manual.
• Improve supplier selection criteria.
• Regular visit and communication to supplier.
• Standardization of Products.

3. Purchase:

Initiate trial orders for new vendors.

Negotiate prices.

Follow up for deliveries for minimum 3 quotes & timely Delivery to Stores.
