Job summary

Pradeep Metals is seeking a proactive professional to manage vendor development and procurement activities. The role focuses on ensuring timely deliveries, coordinating with planning and quality teams, and maintaining accurate records of supplier communications.

The ideal candidate will drive supplier qualification, monitor NCRs/CAPA, and expedite critical orders to prevent stockouts. A background in manufacturing operations and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Supply Chain, Vendor Development, Procurement, or Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain vendor delivery schedules.
• Share schedules with vendors and ensure adherence to committed delivery dates.
• Coordinate with PPC Planning, Expeditor team, and Quality departments for schedule alignment.
• Update delivery status and pending reports on a daily basis.
• Maintain proper records of all communications and commitments.
• Track vendor development status and maintain supplier databases.
• Ensure smooth material flow from suppliers to production/dispatch team.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors as per company requirements.
• Conduct vendor capability assessments and support vendor qualification.
• Coordinate sample development, trial production, and PPAP/approval activities.
• Handle all vendor email correspondence professionally.
• Maintain proper records of all communications and commitments.
• Follow up on NCRs, CAPA, and supplier improvement plans.
• Perform daily follow-up with vendors for production and dispatch status.
• Expedite critical orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Resolve material shortages by coordinating with suppliers.
