Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience in electrical design for solar EPC projects.
• BE/BTech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics required.
• Proficiency in SLDs, BOQs/BOMs, and load calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs including SLDs and layouts.
• Perform load analysis, transformer/inverter sizing, and voltage drop checks.
• Develop BOQs/BOMs and technical specs for equipment.
• Coordinate with civil/structural, procurement and execution teams.
• Review vendor submittals and provide technical inputs.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes and project standards.
• Support tendering, execution and commissioning phases.
• Maintain drawings and document version control.
• Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen to ensure quality outputs.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer – Electrical to deliver electrical engineering outputs for solar PV/EPC projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing designs, drawings, BOQs/BOMs, and ensuring compliance with standards while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare/review electrical designs: SLDs, AC/DC layouts, cable sizing, earthing/grounding, lightning protection, and load calculations.
• Perform system studies: load analysis, transformer/inverter/cable sizing, voltage drop, and protection coordination.
• Develop BOQs/BOMs and technical specifications for electrical equipment and materials.
• Coordinate with civil/structural, procurement, and execution teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Review vendor submittals and support procurement with technical inputs.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, electrical standards, and project specifications.
• Provide design support during tendering, execution, and commissioning phases.
• Maintain documentation and version control of drawings and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers/draftsmen and ensure quality and standardization of design outputs.
