Job summary

upGrad Study Abroad is hiring experienced Career Counsellors to promote and enroll candidates into our overseas Nursing and Hospitality Career Pathway Programs, with placement in Albania, Korea, Malta, Japan, and Germany. This is a target-driven, sales-oriented counselling role that combines guidance with enrollment.

You will manage the full sales funnel from lead to admission, conduct one-on-one and group sessions, and coordinate with operations for visa support.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of counselling and sales experience, overseas education preferred.
• Experience counselling Nursing/Hospitality overseas programs is preferred.
• Strong communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with visa processes and language certification requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office/Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective candidates on career pathway programs for Albania, Korea, and Malta.
• Explain program structure: language training, skill training, visa process, costs.
• Convert inquiries into enrolments — own the full sales funnel from lead to admission.
• Achieve monthly enrolment/revenue targets assigned by the Team Lead.
• Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions, seminars, and webinars.
• Follow up leads via calls, WhatsApp, and email; maintain CRM hygiene.
• Guide candidates through documentation and pre-departure formalities with ops/visa team.
• Build relationships with candidates for referrals and repeat business.
• Stay updated on destination country job market demand and visa policies.
• Coordinate with marketing for lead campaigns, events, and education fairs.

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Career Counsellors to promote and enroll candidates into our job-oriented Career Pathway Programs in Nursing and Hospitality, leading to overseas placement in Albania, South Korea, and Malta Japan Germany. These programs combine language training (e.g., Korean/TOPIK, Maltese/English, Albanian where applicable) with skill and vocational studies, preparing candidates for guaranteed job placement in the destination country. This is a target-driven, sales-oriented counselling role.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective candidates (freshers, 12th passed, ITI/diploma holders, nursing graduates, hospitality aspirants) on career pathway programs for Albania, Korea, and Malta.
• Explain program structure clearly: language training, vocational/skill training, visa process, job guarantee terms, timelines, and costs.
• Convert inquiries into enrolments — own the full sales funnel from lead to admission (cold calls, walk-ins, digital leads, referrals).
• Achieve monthly enrolment/revenue targets assigned by the Team Lead.
• Conduct one‑on‑one and group counselling sessions, seminars, and webinars for prospective candidates and parents.
• Follow up diligently on leads via calls, WhatsApp, and email; maintain CRM hygiene and daily activity reports.
• Guide candidates through documentation, eligibility screening, and pre‑departure formalities in coordination with the operations/visa team.
• Build and maintain relationships with candidates for referrals and repeat business.
• Stay updated on destination‑country job market demand, visa policies, and competitor offerings.
• Coordinate with marketing for lead generation campaigns, events, and education fairs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in counselling + sales — preferably in overseas education, immigration, recruitment, EdTech, or overseas job placement industry.
• Prior exposure to Nursing/Hospitality overseas program counselling, Korea (EPS/TOPIK), Malta, Gulf, or Europe job/visa consultancy is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills; comfortable with target‑based, incentive‑linked roles.
• Basic understanding of visa processes, language certification requirements (TOPIK, IELTS/OET, TELC, JLPT etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office/Google Workspace.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Nursing/Hospitality background is an added advantage).

Compensation

Fixed salary + attractive incentive/commission structure on enrolments (to be discussed).
