Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru's Automation – Energy Division is seeking an engineer to act as a design authority for RTU, SCADA and cybersecurity within oil, gas and power sectors. You will contribute to design, testing and commissioning on onsite projects from Peenya/Bangalore.

The role emphasizes technique evaluation, proposal support and design verification against standards, with strong stakeholder interaction in an onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in engineering and commissioning of RTU, SCADA, and Cybersecurity in the oil and gas/power industry.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation with RTU, PLC, SCADA, and Cybersecurity.
• Enhanced knowledge of RTU, SCADA.
• Experience in stakeholder and customer management.
• Diploma or Degree in engineering, electrical or electronics.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your skills by applying basic design thinking/good design practices concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Automation – Energy Division in Peenya Bangalore in India. Main stakeholder are Engineering and Commissioning Teams responsible for industrial automation and cybersecurity system implementation, testing, and support

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications for the role:

• You have 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation with RTU, PLC, SCADA, and Cybersecurity.
• You possess enhanced knowledge of RTU, SCADA.

• You have a Diploma or Degree in engineering, in electrical or electronics.
• You are at ease communicating in Verbal and Written.
