Job description

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented, and ambitious Associate Product Manager to take cross-functional ownership of features across the entire Starweaver ecosystem under the guidance of the Senior Product Manager.

While the Senior PM drives the overarching strategy for our enterprise platforms, you will be the day-to-day person for our core module. Your role will involve understanding interconnected user flows across multiple platforms and translating complex, multi-system requirements into clear user stories for our engineering and design teams.

We are looking for a holistic product thinker with strong technical know-how. You do not need to be a niche specialist; rather, you need a solid foundational understanding of how interconnected SaaS tools function, how data flows between systems (basic API logic), and how to deliver a unified UI/UX experience across different digital products.

Who we are looking for: We are open to candidates ranging from highly driven freshers to those with 13 years of early product experience. If you are a fresher, you must possess an exceptional mindset to learn fast, adapt quickly to a high-paced tech environment, and showcase a natural intuition for product building. You must be comfortable asking questions, digesting technical limitations, and quickly ramping up on new concepts. Whether you are mapping out a cross-platform user journey or troubleshooting a bug with engineers, we need someone who relies on curiosity, learns continuously, and takes extreme ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product Audit & Platform Optimization (Gap Analysis)
  • Audit & Benchmarking: Conduct audits of the entire Starweaver ecosystem (LMS, Boostr, Journeybuilder, DesignPilot, and Analytics) to uncover functional gaps, usability flaws, and cross-platform inconsistencies.
  • Revamp Existing Flows: Identify and refactor inefficient user workflows to unify the user experience, improve cross-platform navigation, and resolve ecosystem friction points.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively monitor how users interact with the platforms, prioritizing fixes and optimizations that yield the highest value for the least technical debt.
2. Technical Specifications & Requirements Engineering
  • Bridge Business & Tech: Act as the primary translator between the "what" (Business goals/Senior PM vision) and the "how" (Engineering execution).
  • Technical Adaptability: Quickly grasp the underlying system architecture, basic API integrations, and how data flows between our platforms. Proactively discuss feasibility with engineers before finalizing specs to avoid designing unscalable solutions.
  • Robust Documentation: Write detailed JIRA stories and PRDs (Product Requirements Documents) that include happy paths, edge cases, and error states to leave zero ambiguity for developers.
3. Product Ownership & Roadmap Execution
  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager to maintain and groom the product backlog for various core modules across the Starweaver product suite.
  • Prioritization: Prioritize tickets based on a mix of new feature requests, bug fixes, and necessary refactoring.
  • Ecosystem Alignment: Ensure seamless user journeys and UI/UX standardization across Boostr, Journeybuilder, DesignPilot, the LMS, and Analytics.
4. Quality Assurance (QA) & Data Validation
  • The "Final Gatekeeper": Take full ownership of User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You are responsible for signing off on releases, ensuring that what was built matches what was specified.
  • End-to-End Testing: Rigorously test complete user workflows, API handoffs between platforms, and core feature functionality before they reach the client.
  • Regression Monitoring: Keep a pulse on existing functionality to ensure that new code commits do not break previously working flows anywhere in the ecosystem.
5. Product & User Insights
  • User Behavior Analysis: Leverage internal analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to track adoption and engagement.
  • Insight Generation: Analyze data to identify where learners, instructors, or admins are struggling across our various platforms, using those insights to justify and drive broad product improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Product Delivery: Maintain a consistent sprint velocity with >90% of committed user stories delivered per cycle.
  • Data Integrity: Achieve near-zero bugs regarding data accuracy in production reports.
  • Feature Adoption: Drive measurable engagement and usage of the Analytics Dashboards by enterprise clients.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: High feedback ratings from the Engineering and Design teams regarding the clarity of requirements and JIRA tickets.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
Experience
  • 1 to 3 Years: Open to exceptional, highly driven freshers with a demonstrated passion for product management, or candidates with 13 years of early experience as an APM, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Product Mindset: Must demonstrate an intuitive understanding of digital products. For freshers, this can be showcased through personal projects, product teardowns, internships, or participation in product case competitions.
  • Ecosystem Thinking: A basic understanding of or strong interest in multi-platform SaaS, B2B, or EdTech ecosystems, rather than just standalone features.
Technical Skills
  • Technical Know-How: Solid foundational understanding of how web applications work, including basic knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and how data flows between different platforms.
  • Documentation Tools: Familiarity or quick ability to master JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for documenting workflows, PRDs, and edge cases.
  • Prototyping & UX: Familiarity with wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) to visually communicate product requirements and UI/UX improvements to the design team.
  • Data Literacy (Good to Have): Basic familiarity with product analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel) or basic SQL to help validate hypotheses and measure success.
Core Competencies
  • Analytical Thinking: You rely on data, not gut feeling, to make decisions. You enjoy finding patterns in numbers.
  • Detail-Oriented: In data products, precision is everything. You spot inconsistencies that others miss.
  • Structured Communication: Ability to break down complex data problems into simple language for developers and designers.
  • Ownership: You are a self-starter who can take a vague requirement like "We need better reporting" and turn it into a concrete feature set.
  • Agile: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to multiple requirements at a given time. Experience in startups is preferred.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Opportunity to be the product owner of a high-impact analytics platform.
  • Access to a global network of educators, designers, and technology experts.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative educational technology solutions.
