About The Role
We're looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our product team in a hybrid role that bridges internal product development and external customer engagement. You'll be responsible for translating customer needs into clear product specifications, while owning internal documentation that keeps our product, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams aligned. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both analytical rigor of writing specs and people‑facing work of uncovering what customers actually need. You won't be writing production code, but you should be technically curious and capable of understanding how systems work under the hood – enough to hold your own in conversations with engineers and to explain technical concepts to customers.
Experience: 2–3 years
Reports to: Senior Product Manager
Type: Full‑time
What You’ll Do
- Write detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), functional specifications, and user stories that engineering and design teams can build from with minimal ambiguity.
- Maintain internal knowledge bases, release notes, and feature documentation to ensure cross‑functional teams have a single source of truth.
- Document workflows, edge cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering and QA.
- Support roadmap planning by capturing decisions, trade‑offs, and rationale in writing.
- Conduct discovery calls and structured interviews with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
- Deliver product demos to prospects and existing customers – tailoring the narrative to the audience, surfacing the right capabilities, and answering technical questions on the fly.
- Translate raw customer feedback, support tickets, and sales conversations into prioritised problem statements and feature requests.
- Run requirement‑gathering workshops and walkthrough sessions with clients to clarify scope and resolve ambiguity.
- Act as a bridge between customer‑facing teams (Sales, CS, Support) and the product team, ensuring customer voice is reflected in the roadmap.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Provide feedback on prototypes and pre‑release builds, and validate that delivered features meet documented requirements.
- Help define and track success metrics for shipped features.
Required
- 2–3 years of experience in an Associate Product Manager, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst role at a SaaS or tech company.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured product specifications or BRDs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills – comfortable running customer calls, delivering live demos, asking probing questions, and writing for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Technical acumen – solid working understanding of how SaaS products are built and operated, including APIs, integrations, databases, data flows, authentication, basic system architecture, and the software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience interfacing directly with customers in a discovery, implementation, or support capacity.
- Familiarity with documentation platforms (Confluence, Notion).
- Exposure to AI/LLM‑driven product features.
- Experience with agile workflows and tools like Jira or Linear.
- Comfort reading API documentation, inspecting network requests, or running basic SQL queries.
