We're seeking an Associate UI/UX Designer to support design across the Starweaver digital ecosystem, a suite that includes Boostr, DesignPilot, Journeybuilder, and Starweaver Analytics.
Working closely with our Senior UI/UX Designer and Product team, you'll contribute across the design lifecycle: user research, journey mapping, high-fidelity UI, and interactive prototypes. You'll help ensure our B2B and EdTech platforms are intuitive, accessible, and functional for global enterprise users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. UX Discovery & Research
- User Research: Support user interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis to help identify pain points and opportunities across our platforms.
- Experience Mapping: Translate business requirements into user flows, site maps, and wireframes, with guidance from the Senior UI/UX Designer.
- Usability Testing: Help create and run usability tests on low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and iterate based on real feedback.
2. High-Fidelity UI Design
- Visual Excellence: Apply Starweaver's brand standards through strong typography, color, and grid systems.
- Data Visualization: Design clear dashboards for Starweaver Analytics that make complex data easy to interpret for enterprise stakeholders.
- Responsive Execution: Deliver consistent experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile, keeping technical feasibility in mind.
3. Design System Contribution
- Component Work: Contribute to and help maintain Starweaver's UI component library.
- Best Practices: Build components using Figma best practices, auto layout, variables, and properties to keep the product suite consistent.
4. Prototyping & Developer Collaboration
- Prototyping: Build interactive prototypes that demonstrate key transitions and micro-interactions.
- Handoff: Work with frontend developers for a smooth handoff, documenting states, edge cases, and interactions.
- Design QA: Review staging environments to check that the live product matches the design intent before release.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Design Quality: Consistently delivers UI that meets Starweaver's design standards, requiring fewer craft revisions over time.
- Usability Contribution: Supports research and usability testing that lead to measurable improvements in task completion and reduced friction.
- System Consistency: Builds reusable, well-structured components that adhere to the design system and reduce rework for the team.
- Delivery Reliability: Delivers sprint-ready designs on time, with clear documentation that minimizes back-and-forth with engineering.
Qualifications
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer, ideally in a SaaS, B2B, or EdTech environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking (wireframes, user flows, research involvement) and high-fidelity UI execution (visual polish, dashboards or data-driven screens).
Technical Skills
- Figma: Strong working proficiency in Figma components, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping.
- Research Tools: Some exposure to tools like Hotjar, Maze, or similar for usability testing and heat-mapping.
- Visual Suite: Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for asset creation when needed.
- Technical Literacy: A basic understanding of HTML/CSS constraints, enough to keep designs buildable.
- Bonus: Any experience with Figma Motion or Lottie for UI animation.
Core Competencies
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down data-heavy workflows into clean, understandable interfaces.
- Initiative: Comfortable taking a defined product requirement and moving it forward with some guidance from the Senior UI/UX Designer.
- Communication: Ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions to Product Managers and engineers.
- Collaboration: Openness to feedback and a willingness to work closely with the wider design and product team.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact platforms across the Starweaver ecosystem.
- Access to a global network of educators, designers, and technology experts.
- Hands-on mentorship and room to grow your design career.
