Job description

omniXM is a fast-growing SaaS company building intelligent customer experience management products. Our flagship AI product, omniXMOS, includes a conversational survey analysis engine, omniSense, that processes real-world business feedback at scale. The system combines deterministic data tools, LLM-powered reasoning, multi-modal report generation, and document-grounded RAG - all served through a FastAPI backend and deployed on Azure.

We are scaling our Product team to drive the next phase of omniSense: smarter agentic workflows, richer insights, and AI experiences our customers can trust. We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to own product development end-to-end and partner closely with our AI Engineering team.

The Role

As an Associate Product Manager, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, QA, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to help build and improve omniXM's AI-powered products.

You will initially focus on learning the product, understanding customer problems, documenting requirements, supporting product execution, and working closely with engineering teams.

As you gain product knowledge and demonstrate the ability to independently make sound product decisions, your responsibilities will expand toward owning features, modules, and eventually an entire product independently.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in Product Management and is willing to learn the business, technology, customers, and product development process from the ground up.

  • Develop a deep understanding of omniXM products, customers, use cases, and business objectives.
  • Understand customer problems and translate them into potential product opportunities.
  • Participate in product discovery discussions with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams.
  • Study existing product functionality, workflows, user journeys, and areas for improvement.
  • Research competing products and industry trends to support product decisions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of how AI capabilities can be applied to solve customer problems.
2. Requirements & Product Documentation
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create clear and structured PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional specifications under guidance initially.
  • Convert business requirements into actionable requirements for Engineering and Design.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, edge cases, and potential risks in requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation.
  • Learn to define requirements for AI-powered features where outputs may not always be deterministic.
3. Product Development & Execution
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Help prioritize and manage product backlog items.
  • Track feature development and ensure requirements are clearly understood by Engineering.
  • Follow up on dependencies, blockers, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with QA to ensure features are tested against defined requirements.
  • Participate in product releases and post-release validation.
  • Gradually take ownership of features and product modules as capability develops.
4. Product Quality & Validation
  • Review developed features against requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Create or contribute to test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with QA to identify functional gaps and edge cases.
  • Perform product validation before and after releases.
  • Identify product usability issues and recommend improvements.
  • Develop an understanding of quality considerations for AI/LLM-powered features, including accuracy, relevance, hallucination risks, and user trust.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, AI/ML, QA, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and other teams.
  • Communicate requirements and product decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer discussions when required to understand product problems and feedback.
  • Ensure customer feedback is captured and translated into actionable product insights.
  • Help maintain alignment between customer needs, business priorities, and engineering execution.
  • Track product usage and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Learn to define and monitor product KPIs and success metrics.
  • Analyze feature adoption and user behavior.
  • Support product experiments and validation of new ideas.
  • Use data and customer insights to support product decisions.

The successful candidate is expected to progressively take on greater responsibility.

During the initial 3 months:
  • Learn the product and domain deeply.
  • Understand the existing product architecture and workflows.
  • Work closely with senior Product and Engineering leadership.
  • Take ownership of smaller features and product improvements.
By approximately 6 months:

Based on performance and demonstrated capability, the candidate is expected to be ready to:

  • Independently manage a defined product/module.
  • Own requirements and prioritization for the assigned area.
  • Work directly with Engineering and QA.
  • Manage the product backlog.
  • Coordinate releases.
  • Interact with customers/stakeholders where required.
  • Make day-to-day product decisions independently.
  • Take accountability for the outcomes of the assigned product area.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a high-potential early-career Product professional, not someone who simply wants to perform coordination or documentation work.

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Curious and genuinely interested in how products are built.
  • Comfortable asking questions and challenging assumptions.
  • Strong at breaking complex problems into smaller, actionable pieces.
  • Comfortable working with engineers and understanding technical concepts.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous and fast-moving startup environment.
  • Willing to take ownership rather than wait for instructions.
  • Analytical and comfortable using data to support decisions.
  • Able to learn quickly and independently.
  • Interested in AI, SaaS, technology products, and emerging AI capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 1+ years of experience in Product Management, Associate Product Management, Product Analysis, Business Analysis, Technical Product roles, or a similar function.

  • Exposure to creating product documentation, user stories, requirements, workflows, or similar artifacts.
  • Good understanding of software applications and how users interact with them.

  • Experience creating wireframes or user flows.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and software architecture.
  • Experience working with customer-facing teams.
  • Exposure to product analytics and metrics.
