Job summary

PayU Payments invites an Associate Product Manager to shape fintech products in a fast-paced Mumbai/Bangalore setting. You will own the lifecycle from conception to launch, partner with design and engineering, and drive onboarding and growth initiatives.

You will work with data teams to define requirements, craft user stories, and run experiments that improve activation and conversion while delivering high-quality experiences across funnels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in STEM related fields.
  • 1+ year of product management experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, or growth-focused products
  • Proven track record of improving conversion funnels and driving user growth
  • Background in growth hacking, performance marketing, or conversion optimization
  • Knowledge of behavioural psychology and persuasive design principles

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from conception to launch and optimization
  • Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive, user-centric UI/UX and seamless onboarding experiences
  • Define detailed product requirements, user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria
  • Monitor and optimize user acquisition, activation, and conversion funnels using analytics tools (Tableau, Redash, Clarity)
  • Analyze funnel metrics, identify drop-off points, and track KPIs to improve user journey and conversion rates
  • Design and execute experiments (A/B tests, user research, usability testing) to improve funnel performance
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Manage product backlogs and prioritize features based on business impact and user needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize acquisition and onboarding flows

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centered design methodologies
  • Experience with funnel analytics and optimization tools (Clevertap, )
  • Proficiency in product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Gen AI tools)
  • Data analysisskills with SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools; ability to create dashboards and derive actionable insights
  • User empathy and ability to translate user needs into exceptional experiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
