Job summary

Adani Group in India is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to define and manage the electrical scope for material handling and industrial projects.

You will perform ETAP studies, size substations, prepare diagrams and BOMs, and coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and procurement teams to ensure timely deliverables.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience and a BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering, with strong knowledge of high-voltage switchyards and vendor evaluation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in electrical engineering for industrial projects.
• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with high voltage switchyards and protection coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical scope by reviewing process requirements, P&IDs, tenders and specs.
• Select equipment aligned with standards, safety, and project specs.
• Prepare electrical docs: load lists, MCC sizing, diagrams, cable schedules.
• Prepare BOMs, data sheets, and vendor scopes for tendering.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely deliverables.
• Support site execution, testing, and commissioning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review process requirements, P&IDs, tender documents, specifications, and contractual requirements to define and scrutinize the electrical scope of work.
• Select electrical equipment and systems in line with process requirements, operating philosophy, applicable standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Prepare electrical engineering documents, including load lists, MCC sizing calculations, single-line diagrams, cable sizing calculations, transformer sizing, capacitor bank sizing, DG set sizing, substation sizing, and cable schedules.
• Prepare, review, and submit drawings such as earthing layouts, MCC room layouts, cable route layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment general arrangement layouts for client and consultant approval.
• Prepare electrical bills of quantities and cost estimates for the complete plant electrical system.
• Prepare equipment datasheets for transformers, HT and LT panels, UPS systems, local control stations, cables, cable trays, and other electrical equipment.
• Develop detailed vendor scopes of work and material requisitions in accordance with tender and project requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluation of vendor bids, identify deviations, prepare technical comparison statements, and support vendor finalization.
• Design and review high-voltage AIS switchyards up to 66/132/220 kV in accordance with applicable standards and statutory regulations.
• Perform or review ETAP studies, including single-line model creation to ANSI/IEC requirements, short-circuit analysis, and load-flow analysis.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, instrumentation, procurement, project, and site teams to ensure timely and interface-free engineering deliverables.
• Provide engineering support for site execution, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical queries, as required.
