Job summary

Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited in Vadodara invites an experienced Electrical Design professional to lead design activities for ongoing projects, review electrical designs, and ensure time, cost, and scope alignment. You will coordinate with project consultants and engineering teams for plant electrical equipment, substations, and MRS, ensuring adherence to standards.

This role requires B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in chemical/petrochemical/refinery project design,

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications include a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Chemical/Petrochemical/Refinery project designing and vendor development for project consultancy/design.
• Experience in project activities from grassroots level.

Responsibilities

• Designing of Plant Electrical Equipment, Substations, MRS etc.
• Finalising project specifications for Electrical Equipment, Switchgears, cables as per latest design standards.
• Monitoring & Tracking of Engineering Deliverables for the project
• Preparation & Review of MTO (Material Take off) List & BOQ (Bill of Quantity) for the project
• Preparation & Review of Equipment Manufacturing Drawings, GA Drawings
• On-field engineering support for construction team and DCN (Design Change Notes)
• Preparation & Review of As-Built drawings for the Project
• Communicate relevant information to stakeholders
• Understanding and following Project design best practices
• Project design & consultancy on the basis of Basic Engineering Package.

Job description

Responsible for all Electrical Design related activities for ongoing and upcoming projects for reviewing and checking of all Electrical Designs. Manage time, cost and scope without any deviation. Track monitor and control project related deliverables, for meeting company’s strategic & operational objectives.

Major Activies:

• Work with Project consultant & Engineering team, for designing of Plant Electrical Equipment, Substations, MRS etc..
• Finalising Project specification for Electrical Equipment, Switchgears, cables as per latest design standards
• Monitoring & Tracking of Engineering Deliverables for the project
• Understanding and following Project design best practices
• Project design & consultancy on the basis of Basic Engineering Package.
• Monitoring the status of the project engineering (designing) and communicate the relevant information to stakeholders.
• Preparation & Review of MTO (Material Take off) List & BOQ (Bill of Quantity) for the project, to facilitate Procurement activities
• Preparation & Review of Equipment Manufacturing Drawings, GA Drawings
• Responsible for assigned project from the initial development. This will require meetings with users to fully determine their needs & fulfilling the same.
• Conducts project review meetings & identify the issues that come up and plan countermeasures.
• Supporting selection of Design consultant
• Supporting construction team for On-field engineering issues & managing DCN (Design Change Notes) for the project
• Preparation & Review of As-Built drawings for the Project
