Qualifications

What You Will Do
  • Supervise, mentor a team of Design Engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Lead a team with an appropriate mix of skills and experience to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer, program, and business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction across the design lifecycle, ensuring compliance with aerospace design standards
  • Drive the execution of design activities from concept through detailed design, qualification, certification, and production support.
  • Plan and manage team capacity, resource allocation, and workload across multiple programs and priorities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to support technical growth and career development.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and technical development of new Design Engineers, ensuring effective integration into the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of design-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Guide team members in developing technical expertise, expanding engineering responsibilities, and achieving technical signatory or checker delegation where applicable.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering processes, quality standards, configuration management, and compliance requirements while meeting program schedules.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering with 8-10 years of relevant experience in design engineering.
  • Strong background in design engineering, with demonstrated experience in design and development of Aerospace/Automotive/Heavy Engineering products etc.
  • Proven technical leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, including concept development, detailed design, qualification, certification, manufacturing support, and sustaining engineering.
  • Experience leading end-to-end project execution across multiple programs or product lines.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace regulatory requirements and certification processes (FAA, EASA, or equivalent) and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Analysis, Materials, Certification, Quality, and Program Management.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent while maintaining high standards of technical quality and delivery.
  • Excellent planning, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Strong focus on engineering quality, compliance schedule adherence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, empathy, and the ability to build an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
