Job summary

• Minimum 4 years of industry experience in safety-critical domain (preferably aerospace) with embedded software life cycle per DO-178 B/C.
• Strong embedded software development experience in safety-critical domain (preferably aerospace) using C.
• Knowledge of DO-178 B/C and certification processes.
• Experience with requirements management, configuration management, and problem report management tools.
• Exposure to embedded systems and board bring-up activities.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in CS/EC/EE/IT.

What You Will Do

• 1. Lead the design, development, and integration of embedded software for aerospace systems using C and DO-178 B/C standards.
• 2. Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to software development teams. Ability to decompose systems requirements to high level software requirements, low level design and code implementation.
• 3. Analyze, define, and develop clear, complete, and verifiable high-level and low-level software requirements.
• 4. Develop software architecture, detailed designs, and embedded software components using established software design principles.
• 5. Drive software requirements reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• 6. Mentor and coach engineers on software development best practices and engineering excellence.
• 7. Support estimation, planning, risk management, and technical problem-solving activities. Develop and maintain application software for embedded and real-time systems.
• 8. Design and implement low-level device drivers for peripherals and communication interfaces. Develop software for communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, ARINC 429 etc.
• 9. Perform debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis of complex software issues.
• 10. Conduct impact analysis and support corrective and preventive actions for field and customer issues.
• 11. Support problem report management, software configuration management and release activities.
• 12. Ensure compliance with aerospace software development processes and standards. Support requirements traceability, and certification deliverables.
• 13. Participate in software lifecycle reviews and audits.
• 14. Collaborate with Systems, Verification, Hardware, Quality, and Program teams throughout development.
• 15. Participate in Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• 16. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the software organization.
• 17. Set-up and troubleshoot environment for embedded products.

Qualifications You Must Have
