Job summary

Urban Company is seeking a CA with 0-2 years of experience to manage monthly close, MIS/PnL, and balance sheet schedules. You will review AP, receipts, vendor payments, and inter-company activity while ensuring robust internal controls and accurate reporting.

You will lead automation projects, propose IFRS/Ind‑AS treatments, and coordinate with Big 4 auditors to support timely audits and transparent disclosure. This role offers growth in a high‑impact finance team.

Qualifications

• CA with 0-2 years of work experience in the Service/FMCG Industry.
• Experience in IFRS/Ind-AS is a must.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven decision-making mentality.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly closing of books and preparation of MIS/PnL for circulation to management and investors.
• Review current accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Receipts Reconciliations, Vendor Payments, Inter-Company transactions.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules with GL to Sub-GL reconciliations and ageing.
• Maintain accounting controls across assets, liabilities, incomes and gains reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis monthly, quarterly and annually and respond to AGM FAQs.
• Lead accounting automation projects to improve efficiency.
• Suggest accounting treatment for new business transactions per Ind AS and IFRS.
• Liaise with Big 4 auditors for timely audits per listing requirements.
• Publish dashboards for management such as ageing, cash flows, and provisioning.

About the Role

• Responsible for monthly closing of books and preparation of MIS/PnL for circulation to management and investors.
• Reviewing day-to-day accounting operations in respect of Account Payable, Receipts Reconciliations, Vendor Payments, Inter-Company transaction, etc.
• Responsible for monthly balance sheet schedules including GL to Sub-GL reconciliation with ageing etc.
• Handling of accounting controls (such as assets, liabilities, incomes and gains reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, etc.).
• Responsible for variance analysis - monthly, quarterly and annual along with AGM FAQs
• Leading accounting automation projects.
• Suggesting accounting of new business transactions in line with applicable Ind AS and IFRS.
• Liasioning with Big 4 Auditors on timely closure of Audits as per Listing requirements
• Publishing various dashboards for Management including but not limited to (ageing report, old provisioning, cash flows, etc).
• Preparation of Fixed Asset Register and Creation of ROU assets
• Knowledge of IND-AS, TDS and GST laws
• Ensuring compliance to internal controls around financial reporting (ICFR)

What well need:
