• Lead and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align warehouse activities with overall supply chain objectives.
• Develop and optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards specific to the mining and metals industry.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and generate performance reports.
• Drive process improvements through data analysis and adoption of best practices to reduce costs and enhance service levels.
• Manage vendor relationships related to warehouse equipment, maintenance, and transportation services.
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance metrics to senior management.
