Job summary

FIS, a leading FinTech company, seeks a Mainframe - Batch Operations specialist to ensure continuity of batch jobs and meet service level agreements. You will monitor batch execution, manage CA7 scheduling, NDM, and JCL, and collaborate with the Capital Markets Shared Technical Services group.

This role requires a willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with monitoring tools and log parsers.

Qualifications

• Requires strong mainframe batch knowledge and ability to operate batch monitoring tools.
• Familiar with CA7 scheduling and related mainframe utilities.
• Experience with log parsing and monitoring tools is desired.

We are FIS Capital Markets Shared Technical Services Group, providing Mainframe batch support to our FIS Capital Markets products Clients.

About the role: Mainframe - Batch Operations

This role is to ensuring the continuity of Batch operations work and meeting service level agreements. Employee will be responsible for batch monitoring tools , expertise in CA7 scheduling, NDM , JCL.

What you will be doing

• Collaborate in a team environment. Deliver quality customer service. Consultative and team-oriented.
• Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures required for the field of specialization i.e mainframe ( JIRA/SNOW/ JHS etc).
• Good working knowledge of excel, macros, VBA.
• Contribute/share ideas and information. Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to monitor and elevate system issues impacting services for customers utilizing monitoring technologies.
• Ready to work in 24/7 environment
• Ability to monitor batch execution and file transfers to meet commitments with clients
• Ability to monitor multiple applications and data transfer protocols to meet customer needs.
• Recognize problems and issues. Act quickly to carryout appropriate decisions. Exhibit effective problem solving skills
• Proficient 24/7 support troubleshooting
• Good working knowledge of Excel (lookup formulas, pivot table and charts)
• Knowledge of log parsing tools (eg. JIRA, SNOW, RMF, CA7 )
• Knowledge of jobs scheduling, monitoring tools and troubleshooting job failures
