Job summary

Roots Group is seeking an Associate Head for Assembly Process Engineering to lead vehicle assembly processes, drive improvements and manage engineering changes in new and existing products.

The role requires hands-on experience in ERN/ECR, process design, line balancing, shop layout, and strong leadership to deliver on business requirements.

Candidates should excel in Lean, 5S and PFMEA, and develop process documents such as PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle assembly processes and related activities.
• Hands-on EM change management (ERN/ECR) expertise.
• Lean, 5S and quality systems-based problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the team to meet business requirements.
• Develop process documentation such as PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs.
• Oversee shop layout and material handling system decisions.

• Expertise in vehicle assembly processknowledge from automobile industry or related industry
• Subject matter expertinManufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process & Projectplanning activities
• Hands-on experience in handling end toend Engineering change management systems (ERN, ECR, etc.) in the existing andnew products
• Process improvements, Processoptimization, line balancing and related tools and facility selections.
• Existing and New Process Design & Development,Shop layout, Material Handling Systems, Greenfield and brown field projects.
• Proficient in lead and drive the teamto achieve business requirements.
• Systematic Problem solving approach,using Quality systems, Lean methodology, Continuous improvement and 5S.
• Skilled in developing Process DocumentsPFD, PFEMA, Control Plan, SOP
