Job summary

Grant Thornton Bengaluru seeks a valuation professional to support U.S. project teams in business valuation and intangible asset assessments for regulatory, financial, and tax purposes. Qualifications

• Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA or CFA, valuation credentials (CVA/ABV/AVA/ASA) preferred.
• Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP preferred.

Job description

• Supporting U.S. project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to business valuation. The team also assists in the valuation of intangible assets for regulatory, financial, and tax purposes as a result of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or financial restructuring
• Building financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, and writing reports
• Delivering high quality valuation work products and assisting other team members when required
• Interacting with internal clients and communicating with managers / audit teams in the United States
• Assisting internal clients on client development and practice development assignments

• Understanding of basic accounting concepts, interpreting financial statements (P&L, BS, IS, Cash Flow statements etc.)
• Sound knowledge of valuation methodologies such as Discounted Cash-Flow (DCF), Guideline Company and Guideline Transaction methods.
• Should possess strong Excel Modeling skills.
• Familiarity with using the Internet for data research; hands on experience with databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg will be a plus.
• Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel internationally

Professional Experience / Qualifications

• Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Certification/license such as CPA or CFA, and valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, AVA or ASA preferred
