Job summary

Withum India seeks a Senior Consultant for its Forensic and Valuation Services Group. You will handle equity and complex security valuations for financial reporting, tax compliance, and advisory purposes, with responsibilities spanning data entry, report preparation, and quantitative analysis.

You will contribute to macroeconomic research, model development in Excel and VBA, and ensure compliance with tax and accounting guidance. Strong Excel skills and independent work ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or similar quantitative discipline.
• Understanding of equity valuation methods such as DCF, market multiples, transactions, and option pricing.
• 3+ years of experience in performing CFI valuations for U.S. clients.
• Understanding of financial statements and business tax returns.
• Progress toward CFA/FRM/CVA/CPA/ABV is a plus.
• Strong interest in quantitative and economic analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills; VBA or similar statistics package a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, etc.) primarily in Excel.
• Completing data entry of tax returns and financial statements into Excel models.
• Assisting in writing and preparing reports, letters, and client deliverables.
• Assisting in review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes.
• Performing macroeconomic and industry research.
• Reviewing documents and market research to capture key drivers for modeling.
• Developing and maintaining models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo or other complex methods.
• Reviewing tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join Withum Forensic and Valuation Services Group. Senior Associate work on a variety of assignments, including taking substantial responsibility in performing equity valuations or complex security valuations (stock options, warrants, convertible debt, other complex securities/derivatives, etc.) for financial reporting, tax compliance, transaction advisory, and other purposes. Additionally, Senior Associates assist in projects related to economic and statistical analysis, model validation, database management, and other ad hoc quantitative assignments.

Responsibilities

• Preparing & Review valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily in Excel
• Completing data entry of tax returns and financial statements into Excel models
• Assisting in writing and preparing of reports, letters, and other client deliverables
• Assisting in review of third party appraisals for audit support purposes
• Performing macroeconomic and industry research
• Reviewing various agreements, documents, research papers, and market research with the intent of capturing salient points to be used for modeling purposes and clearly communicate the key drivers to others
• Assisting in the development, maintenance, application of models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo, lattices, or other complex methods as requested
• Reviewing and gaining a sufficient understanding of the necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or similar quantitative discipline
• Understanding of equity valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing
• 3+ years of experience in performing CFI valuations for U.S is required
• Understanding of financial statements and business tax returns required
• Progress towards external designations such such as CFA, FRM, CVA, CEIV, CPA/ABV a plus
• Strong interest in quantitative and economic analysis
• Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
• Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plus
• Capacity to work independently on projects
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
