Job summary

MSD in Pune, India seeks a field-based sales professional to drive demand for companion animal products and vaccines. You will engage veterinarians, distributors, and retailers to meet annual targets while ensuring product availability in your territory.

You will build relationships with veterinary colleges, NGOs, and other stakeholders to expand business and minimize expiry through effective secondary sales monitoring. Regular travel within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Veterinary Sciences or Science.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in Companion animal market.
• Sound knowledge of companion animal medicine and vaccines.
• Familiarity with animal health sales process and geographic territory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Generate demand for products through engagement with veterinarians and canine practitioners.
• Sell products by utilizing selling skills and demand generation.
• Coordinate between retailers and distributors for smooth operations.
• Minimize product expiry through regular secondary sales monitoring.

• Manage outstanding recoveries related to companion animal products within the territory.
• Ensure compliance with business principles and ethical standards.
• Maintain sales growth for companion animal products in assigned territories.
• Achieve annual sales targets and conduct regular follow-ups with customers (veterinarians, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders).
• Drive growth and expansion of companion animal products to position MSD as Best Animal Health company in the territory amidst increasing competition.

This role requires to be at the forefront of driving demand and sales for our innovative Companion animal products and Vaccines, ensuring the well-being of animals and advancing veterinary science, with knowledge, skill and readiness to contribute to a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Required

• A graduate degree, preferably in Veterinary Sciences or Science.
• 2 or more years of relevant experience in Companion animal market.
• Sound technical knowledge of Companion animal medicine and Vaccines .
• Familiarity with the animal health sales process and related scientific knowledge.
• Awareness of the geography of the territory.
